The extension distribution includes sample configuration files for the Sun Code Conventions, course-specific configuration files used at Virginia Tech and Metro State Denver, and the Big Java Coding Guidelines. The BlueJ Checkstyle Extension is a wrapper for BlueJ to use Checkstyle, a source code analysis tool to help programmers write Java code that adheres to a coding standard. Primary contributors to this updating effort were students enrolled in the Fall 2017 semester of CS4250, Software Engineering Principles, at Metropolitan State University of Denver. Thus, minimal modifications to original sources, build process, and documentation have been made, as necessary to support the current environment.
